2005 Merlot
Owning to its generously complete composition, the 2005 Lodmell Cellars Merlot was made in style that is not difficult to define. Having aromas of violet and black pepper, it further possesses black currant, ripe plum and cherry on the palate. Densely packed, and proving it with its heavy structure and near-black hue, this Merlot easily succeeds at aspiring to the variety’s opulent style and manner of production. Lovingly and patiently aged for thirty months prior to bottling, this Merlot has attained a certain star quality having been barrel-conditioned for a long life to come.
One will be justly rewarded by this wine’s longevity in the cellar. As it is widely applicable in its food-friendly nature, the 2005 Lodmell Cellars Merlot is a fine accompaniment to pepper-corn encrusted steak, pork tenderloin in a plum sauce, elk medallions, or a spring lamb seasoned in rosemary.

2006 Chardonnay
Introduced by aromas of Graham Cracker and honey-lemon, the 2006 Lodmell Cellars Chardonnay is a fine example of the white Burgundy-style of this variety. It is distinguished from others as it possesses a somewhat mineral-like citrus fruit on the palate and is finished with restrained nuances of oak. In a sea of buttery, overly woody styles available today, this individualistic Chardonnay stands far above the pack with its traditionalist flair and austere complexion.
Because of its extreme age-worthiness and suitability for culinary applications, the 2006 Lodmell Cellars Chardonnay is amply suited to pairings of chicken risotto buttered scallops, and classic Asian dishes including cashew chicken and sweet & sour pork.

2006 Sauvignon Blanc
The apple and English toffee scented 2006 Lodmell Cellars Sauvignon Blanc is a great Bordeaux-style white that exhibits finely balanced notes of green apple, Bosc pear and Asian gooseberry. This complex layering of flavors is enveloped by a bracingly crisp level of natural acidity, which is emblematic of fine, New World wines made entirely of Sauvignon Blanc.
Not to be overdone, the wine is imbued with just a kiss of oak, as its woodiness is perfectly integrated at only a discrete level. The nearly endless finish shown by this wine establishes its standing as a naturally made Sauvignon Blanc having dense proportionality. Enjoy the taste sensation achieved when the 2006 Lodmell Cellars Sauvignon Blanc is paired with lemon-marinated sea bass, Penn Cove mussels atop buttered linguine, or before dinner with Gruyere cheese.
